This project presented the engaging challenge of creating a series of symbols that seamlessly integrated an animal with a distinct business industry. Endowed with the freedom of personal selection, I opted to combine a crab with a bakery. To explore this intriguing concept, I embarked on a creative journey, generating a total of 120 unique iterations. This rigorous process necessitated the creation of forced connections between two seemingly unlike entities, fostering imaginative and unconventional solutions. To further stimulate creative exploration, a series of 12 drawing prompts were introduced, including exercises such as one-line drawings, non-dominant hand sketching, and pencil-less explorations. These prompts effectively encouraged the development of a diverse range of visual directions.

As the design process progressed, a selection of the most promising sketches were translated into Adobe Illustrator. This stage highlighted the critical importance of simplification and the strategic elimination of unnecessary anchor points within each mark, resulting in refined and visually impactful symbols. The culmination of this project yielded a portfolio of twelve unique and playful symbols, effectively demonstrating the successful fusion of a crab and a bakery.
